REALTOR Wives has finally launched!!!!

Attention all spouses of REALTORS!!!! After years of talking about it, it's finally here! This is OUR place to talk about all things Real Estate. Anyone married to a REALTOR knows that despite not being licensed, we are 50% REALTORS ourselves- going on tours, assisting with closings, coordinating architects, surveyors, lawyers, other agents, etc as needed.

Sometimes our job as a spouse looks easy, but just try telling a non-REALTOR-spouse (NRS) what an evening is like- blackberries, treos, instant messaging, texting, emails and endless phone calls cloud the air, but WE are a tough bunch- we smile and jot down any helpful information, right?

So, tell us about yourself-

1. Where do you live?
2. How many years have you been a REALTOR Wife?
3. What is your background (interesting facts about you)?

We are seeking contributors! If you'd like to be a regular writer on RealtorWives, tell us today!

WELCOME ALL!!!!

I am really happy to see your blogspot up and running! As the other half of me, you obviously have a lot of extra time on your hands! I'm kidding, seriously, I am glad you have a forum of your own, and I know this will be a big hit!

All my love and best wishes, your husband- That Real Estate Guy

What a great idea!

I'm obviously not a Realtor Wife. But I am both a Realtor and a Realtor Husband, does that count for anything?

I lived in Austin for 20+ years, it's home to me. Went to UT for a semester, dropped out. I graduated from St. Edward's (MANY years later). Spent 20 years at Motorola - they transferred me to Phoenix then laid me off a couple of years later. Got into real estate and the rest is history.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll be keeping an eye out on this one. Best of luck with it!!

Hook 'em!

Well Jay, since you're a Realtor Husband, you should send your Realtor Wife! I bet she's been dying to opine.... or maybe I just talk/write to much and I'm alone in that desire... hmmm....

I've read your blog for a while now and I've got to say I'm a fan- it must be the orange blood :)

I just hope real estate prices start dropping in Austin soon. High prices are bad.
